You like the new banner?
There was a time when I wouldn't have put that up, no matter how much I wanted it to happen. It just seemed improbable, just wishful thinking that was likely to lead to yet another broken heart. But people are getting angry now. The word "fascist" is not a piece of overheated hyperbole with regard to George W. Bush, 43rd President of the United States. With the latest revelations about the NSA collecting US citizens' phone records without even the vaguest consideration of probable cause, or the slightest tip of the hat towards the niceties of warrants or judicial oversight should make obvious to even the stupidest citizen what the rest of us have known for years: that any rhetorical attempt to separate the vision of GWB's administration from that of Fascism is a distinction without a difference.
